Description
Er Xian Tang (Two Immortals Decoction) is a modern TCM formula developed in the 1950s at Shuguang Hospital in Shanghai, specifically for menopausal syndrome. It addresses the complex pathology of menopause — simultaneous Kidney Yin and Yang deficiency with Liver fire — by warming Kidney Yang, nourishing Kidney Yin, and clearing deficiency fire while regulating the Chong and Ren channels.
Preparation
Decoct in water 30 minutes. Take warm in 2 doses/day.
Dosage
Decoction: 1 dose/day. Can be used long-term through menopausal transition.
