Huang Lian Jie Du Tang (Coptis Decoction to Relieve Toxicity) is a powerful formula for excess fire-toxin in the three Jiao. Using four bitter-cold herbs targeting different organs — Huang Lian (Heart), Huang Qin (Lung/upper burner), Huang Bai (Kidney/lower burner), and Zhi Zi (three burners) — it comprehensively drains fire and resolves toxins. It is indicated for serious excess heat conditions with high fever, restlessness, and infections.
