Bowen Therapy
About
Bowen therapy is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique developed by Australian therapist Tom Bowen in the 1950s. It involves a series of precise, rolling movements over muscles, tendons, and connective tissue, with frequent pauses to allow the body to integrate the work. Bowen therapy aims to stimulate the body's self-regulatory and self-healing mechanisms.
Sessions are performed through light clothing and are deeply relaxing.
Benefits
Bowen therapy provides effective relief for back, neck, and shoulder pain, sports injuries, frozen shoulder, RSI, and fibromyalgia. It helps with respiratory conditions including asthma and hay fever, reduces stress and promotes deep relaxation, improves mobility and flexibility, and addresses chronic fatigue. Results are often experienced quickly with relatively few sessions.
