Moxibustion
About
Moxibustion is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy that involves burning dried mugwort (moxa) near or on specific acupuncture points on the body. The heat generated is believed to warm and invigorate the flow of qi, strengthen the blood, and stimulate the body's natural healing processes.
Moxibustion can be applied directly (on the skin), indirectly (above the skin), or through acupuncture needles. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture.
Benefits
Moxibustion warms and tonifies yang energy, treats cold and deficient conditions, is clinically researched for turning breech babies during pregnancy, relieves menstrual disorders and pain, improves digestive function, supports immune system enhancement, and addresses chronic fatigue and weakness patterns in TCM diagnosis.
